Kaleigh's Open House

We had so much fun going to check out Kaleigh's school. We had the opportunity to meet all her teacher's and see her classroom and to hear what a great student she is. I'm so proud of her. She was even in the hall as a Shining Star from her class. Way to go Kaleigh.

Happy Birthday Pop!

I just wanted to take a moment to remember my father today on his birthday. I miss him so much. I wish that he were here to be able to be a part of Zachary joining our family, Kaleigh's first day of school and to just be able to hang with his grandkids and watch them grow with us. I know he is in a better place and that he gets to spend time with my baby til we get to see them again. I love them and think of them everyday. Happy Birthday Pop! I love you.

Happy Birthday Mom

We had a little family gathering Yesterday to sing Happy Birthday to My Mom. She seemed to be very happy about it as you can plainly see in the last picture. And I just have to say I know my cake doesn't look great but it tasted very good.

Kaleigh's First Day of Kindergarden

Kaleigh was so excited about starting school that she was wide awake and ready for school in less than 10 minutes. Then she continued to ask about every few seconds Is it time to leave yet. I'm so glad that I took pictures at home and as soon as she got out of the car because as soon as we crossed the street we couldn't keep up with her. She was on a mission to get to her classroom. We followed her in and tried to say good bye but she was already in her classroom. Caleb had a hard time he tried to follow her in the classroom but I had to grab him and he started to scream that he wanted to go with Kaleigh, and when we started to walk away he cried that he didn't want to leave kaleigh. He did ok but missed her very much. Zachary is to little for him to play with so he's pretty lonely. Mom I guess is not as fun even though all he does is fight with Kaleigh when she's here. She came home and told us that she had an amazing day. She said school is FUN! She said her teacher had to get really mean with some kids who just wouldn't listen but she assured me that she was a good listener and the teacher didn't have to yell at her. Today she was very excited about being able to eat the schools lunch cause I packed her a lunch the first day. We'll see if she enjoyed it. I can't believe my baby is in school already. I'm feeling very old all of sudden. It doesn't help that my nephew is turning 18 in January. Where does the time go?

Zachary Owen Yeager

So as many of you know I was having a hard time with my baby not wanting to come out. I usually deliver my babies around three weeks early so for me this time it was like going past my due date. It was the longest time I've been pregnant. He decided to stay in til 39 weeks. He was only born 1 week early. My fear always was that if my babies stayed in any longer than 37 weeks they would be too big for me to be able to push them out and I'd have to get a c-section. Surprisingly I was wrong about that one. Zachary was born weighing 8lbs. 1.1 oz. and 22 1/2 inches long. I was very shocked when they said that because it wasn't any harder to push him out than the rest were. It hurt the same except for this time I had the most excruciating pain in my lower back and hip. It hurt so bad I thought I was going to die but I didn't and I was able to focus enough and push him out in only four pushes my sister informed me after. I'm glad it was a fast labor and I'm soooooooo happy that he is finally here. Kaleigh had the opportunity to be there and she did phenomenal. She was worried about how I was doing she's so sweet that way and very excited to be able to finally see her brother. Caleb didn't get a chance to see Zachary his first visit to the hospital because Zachary had a bit of trouble with his breathing so he spent the whole first day in ccn. He did very well the whole time he was in there so he came back to the room with us the next day. I was curious to how he would react seeing the baby and I was right to think he was going to have a really hard time adjusting. The first few minutes he wanted nothing to do with the baby going as far as swatting and kicking the baby away from him. Finally Tio bob helped him to hold the baby and as you can see in the photos in the slide he warmed up to him pretty fast. He didn't quite understand that he was his new brother because the whole first day home he kept saying "The baby wants his mom, his mom lost". I told him I was his mom but he didn't like that he said "NO". And when we went to take him to the doctors I put him in his car seat and Caleb got very excited and ran over to him and said "Baby go home " with a big smile on his face. I told him that he WAS home and we were just taking him to the doctors. Something finally clicked that day and I guess he figured the baby was staying with us and he had no choice but to accept it. He's doing much better and becoming quite the helper sometimes to much of a helper but I'm glad he likes him. Kaleigh is very excited that she was able to spend some time with him before she starts school on Tuesday. I'll update on how that first day of kindergarden works. I'll post more pictures of Zachary as soon as I take more. Life is a little crazy right now so bear with me. I hope you enjoy these of the hospital for now.

High Meadows

We had the opportunity to attend Bob's job outing to high meadows. It was a lot of fun even though it rained pretty much all day. They had all you can eat food set up at all times. (you can see why I had fun) The kids were able to get their face painted, Climb a rock wall, play Mini golf, pony rides, swim, and have something made out of balloons. It was a BLAST!

FINALLY AN UPDATE!

So Eli this morning told me that I have been slacking with my blog and that I needed to update so I decided to take the two hours it takes me to sit here and post what's been going on in our life since May. It's been such a crazy year for us so busy. Now that I'm at the end of my pregnancy I've started to realize how tired I actually am. I hope you enjoy seeing the pictures and to all of you that have been anxiously waiting to see a picture of my belly it will be coming soon. I'm sorry I avoid the camera alot so I don't have any really but I promise it's coming.

Eli's Vacation Week

We have just loved having Eli home this week. It's been so much fun to be able to do so many things as a family and to have him home at night. I'm very sad that he has to go back to work tonight but I guess that's what needs to happen. According to Kaleigh we do need money to live. I tried telling her Eli never had to go back to work that we could live with no income but she set me straight. Anyways here are some of the things we did this past week.
